About the Role
At Hümanette, we're seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team, where you'll have the unique opportunity to prepare and serve delicious café fare while creating a safe, fun, inclusive, and enriching environment for children and their families. If you love working in a dynamic, family-friendly setting and have a passion for both customer service and supporting children and families, this position is for you!
Hümanette Cafe Associates will be expected to:
What You’ll Do:
✨ Prepare delicious espresso drinks and simple café fare
✨ Engage warmly with kids and families, helping create a welcoming, playful environment
✨ Maintain and tidy our beautiful play areas throughout the day
✨ Promote and sell memberships, book birthday parties & private events, and share all that Hümanette has to offer
✨ Collaborate on fun seasonal offerings and special events
✨ Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hospitality
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Food service experience preferred (barista experience a plus, but not required)
✔ Great with people of all ages—especially patient, playful, and kind with children
✔ Excellent communication skills and a hands-on, positive attitude
✔ Organized multitasker who appreciates the joyful chaos of a space full of kids!
✔ Excited to learn about (and promote) our memberships, events, and play offerings
✔ Available to work weekday mornings and/or afternoons, & some weekends
Hours & Pay:
10-20 hours/week
Pay commiserate with experience
