Planning

How can I see what dates and times are available?

You can check our booking calendar for available dates and book directly from there.

Do we have to share the space with other families during our event?

Nope! By booking a private event you get exclusive access to our entire cafe, party room, & play spaces.

Are party guests required to wear socks?

Yes, for safety and sanitation reasons, we permit only socks in our play areas. We recommend including this on the invitation. If guests forget their socks, we do have grip socks available for purchase for $5 per pair.

Must all guests sign a waiver or do I cover them with mine?

We do require that all guests, children and adults complete the waive prior to entering the play areas. The waiver can be completed online in advance so as to save your guests time upon arrival and avoid any bottlenecks at the beginning of the event.

We suggest sending the link to the waiver to all guests in advance.

When is the final payment due?

You will pay your final balance on the day of the party, before you leave. You will be provided with a general break down of expenses. If you would like a detailed or itemized receipt you can request one at any time! You may pay with cash or credit/debit card.

 

While 18% gratuity is added to the Classic Celebration and Complete Party packages, we always encourage you to show your party hosts of events at any level your appreciation in the form of a tip. 

Set up & Decor

When can I arrive to set up?

You can arrive 30 minutes prior to your event to set up with help from our staff. If you choose the Complete Party Package, all you have to do is show up, we handle all the decor for you!

Can I bring in any decor for our party if I'm setting it up?

We have a few limits on decorating.

  • Taping decor onto painted walls; including the use of Command strips, ticky tac, or any other adhesive is not permitted. We have banner stands and hooks that can be utilized (just ask!) or decor may be adhered to windows or counters

  • We do not allow confetti or glitter, including confetti-filled balloons

  • Our ceilings do not allow for the use of piñatas - we do not have a space to utilize them

  • We ask that you do not rearrange furniture or existing wall decor without explicit consent prior to the event, during the planning meeting

Can I bring my decorations to H​ümanette to be stored/set up prior to my event?

Sure! We're happy to hold on to those decorations for up to 5 days leading up to your event. Please make sure your bag/ box is labeled with your last name and date and any specific instructions you may have. For both the Essentials Package and the Classic Celebration package, H​ümanette staff will assist in the decorating and setup but hosts are responsible for the overall event design and decor. We are more than happy to get that started for you the day of the party!

I thought I wanted to DIY but I'm overwhelmed, can I upgrade my package?

Absolutely! We get it, planning an event is easier said than done. We will send out a final party overview 8-10 days before your event in order to review all the details; this is the time to make any changes you might want (or need)! You can also add-on any extras that might make your life a little easier or the party a little more fun. We'll confirm the final choices with you 5 days prior to the event, so you have plenty of time to decide. Any changes will be reflected in your final invoice.

Food & Drink

Can I bring in my own food/dessert? How about alcohol?

Sure! You are welcome to bring homemade, store-bought, &/or outside catering.

For alcohol, we are unable to allow outside alcohol as a stipulation of our liquor license. Please let us know what you would like to serve and we will do our best to accommodate that for you. 

Will the espresso bar &/or cafe be open during my event?

While every one of our event hosts is a trained barista, the cafe will only be open for ordering if we have designated that in advance to allow for sufficient staffing. 

If you do choose to have the espresso bar open during your party, we can accommodate that in one of the following ways:

  • You can have guests pay for their own order if they would like a drink

  • You can provide an open or limited-option menu and add the tab with your guests’ orders to your final event invoice

All events include 1 complimentary pot of brewed coffee and a selection of teas, as well as unlimited water.
