At Hümanette, we’re all about creating a safe and welcoming space for your little ones to play, explore, and learn. That’s why, starting January 1, 2025, we’ll be introducing a grip sock policy for children. While adults won’t be required to wear grip socks, we highly recommend them for everyone! Here’s why this small change is a big step toward health and safety:
The Health Factor: Why No Shoes or Bare Feet?
We’ve always upheld a no-shoes policy in our play areas to keep the floors as clean as possible for our tiniest guests—those crawling cuties who explore with their hands, knees, and mouths! But we also know bare feet aren’t ideal, as they can leave the space vulnerable to bacteria and accidental slips. Requiring socks with grip helps us maintain a clean environment while ensuring every step (or crawl!) is as safe as possible.
The Safety Factor: Why Grip Socks?
Our hardwood floors are perfect for imaginative play, but they can be slippery when kiddos are zipping around. Grip socks give little feet the extra traction they need, helping prevent slips and tumbles. Plus, they’re cozy and comfortable, so kids can focus on having fun.
Forgot Your Socks? Don’t Worry!
We’ve got you covered. If you forget to pack grip socks, we’ll have them available for just $5 per pair. They’re stylish, reusable, and perfect for keeping in your bag for future visits.
Making Play Safer and Better for Everyone
This change isn’t just about rules—it’s about making Hümanette an even better space for families to enjoy together. Whether you’re here for open play, a supervised session, or a private party, you can trust that we’re thinking about every detail to keep your experience safe, clean, and fun.
We’re so grateful for your understanding and cooperation as we roll out this new policy. Together, we’re making Hümanette the best place to play, grow, and connect.
